My journey as a potter began in the fall of 1974 at the University of Buffalo student union. That short hands on workshop led to a lifelong love of pottery. My very full student schedule, then a working single Mom schedule did not leave much time to throw, but I always dabbled.

Decades later, I combined my love of clay and teaching with teaching community classes and eventually high school ceramics for 10 years.

As the owner of Desert Sun Ceramics, I continue to teach both beginners and budding professional potters. Several current and former DSC members are participating in the Moab Artist Studio Tour and displaying their work at Desert Sun Ceramics.

Since I went on an extended bicycle tour this summer (Colorado to New York), I don't have any pottery on hand. The pictures show my style, but not actual pottery in stock.

When I return to Moab at the end of July, I plan to make teapots, goblets, bowls and other functional pieces for the studio tour. Stop by to see what I end up creating!
